What is Activity Review?
Technology is imperfect, and humans are fallible. A watch keeps recording after you forget to stop it. GPS jumps across town. A typo turns 30 minutes into 300.
To keep challenges fair, Count. It checks every activity as it comes in. Almost everything passes without you noticing. When something looks unusual, we ask you to take a quick look before it earns points.
Note: Being asked to check an activity doesn’t mean anyone thinks you did something wrong. Most of the time it’s a great workout or a tracker hiccup.
How does Count. It decide what’s unusual?
Picture 100 walks logged on Count. It, lined up from shortest to longest. We only ask about yours if it’s longer than 99 of them. In other words, it’s in the top 1% (the 99th percentile) for its type.
Each type of activity has its own lines, because “normal” depends on the activity. A 3-hour hike is a nice day out. A 3-hour yoga class is rare. We look at how long, how far and how fast (or slow) you went, plus your daily steps and distance.
How do I check an activity?
You’ll see a reminder when you open the app, and the activity shows Pending in your activity log.
Tap the activity marked Pending.
Read the note at the top of Activity Details. It tells you what looked unusual.
Choose what to do.
Activities synced from a fitness app
Confirm if it’s right. The points are added.
Don’t count it if it’s wrong. The activity stays in your log without points.
To fix the numbers themselves, edit the activity in your fitness app and re-sync. See How do I correct or delete an inaccurate data point?
Activities you logged in Count.It
Confirm if it’s right.
Delete if it’s wrong, then log it again.
Note: Until you decide, the activity stays Pending and doesn’t earn points, so check it before your challenge ends. Your choice applies to every challenge the activity counts toward.
Changed your mind?
Open the activity and tap Changed your mind? under the note. Your points and rankings update to match. To remove an activity you logged in Count. It, delete it.
Who can see this?
Only you see the note and the buttons. Others in your challenge see the activity as Pending until you decide, and then Activity confirmed by [your name]. Activities waiting for review stay out of group newsfeeds.
Some activities go so far beyond normal that they skip review entirely. See Why wasn’t my activity counted?
PRO Tip: Activity Review replaces the old rule, which disqualified any activity worth more than 13 times the challenge’s daily target. That rule often caught long but real workouts in low-target challenges. Activity Review compares each activity to what’s normal for that activity and lets participants confirm their own, so there’s less for you to sort out.
