Why wasn’t my activity counted?

What it means when an activity shows “--” instead of points, and what you can do about it.

What does “not counted” mean?

Count. It checks every activity as it comes in. When an activity goes far beyond what’s realistic, it’s marked Not counted and shows “--” instead of points. For example:

  • An activity lasting more than 24 hours

  • A walk faster than an Olympic race walker

  • More than 100,000 steps in a day

These are almost always recording errors, like a watch that kept recording overnight or GPS that jumped across town.

Why can’t I confirm it?

Activities that are unusual but possible get a quick review, and you can confirm those yourself. Activities this far out skip that step, because the data almost certainly isn’t right as recorded.

What can I do?

How are the limits set?

Each activity type has its own limits, set well past what people on Count. It normally log and, for speed, just above the best in the world. For example, the fastest 20 km race walk ever averaged about 15.8 km/h (9.8 mph), so a “walk” faster than 17 km/h (10.6 mph) isn’t counted.

Slow is never a problem. A very slow pace can earn a quick review, but it never stops an activity from counting.

Note: If your activity shows Pending instead of “--”, it’s waiting for you to check it. See Why am I being asked to check an activity?
