What is a group and how do I create one?

On Count. It, groups run challenges. It all begins with a group.

Updated over a week ago

On Count. It, the "group" is your home. Groups run challenges, and they can run as many challenges as they like over weeks, months, or years. The most common type of group on Count. It is a company or corporate team, but the platform also hosts non-profit groups, schools, government agencies, groups of friends, families, and more. It's entirely free to create a group, and a group persists unless the group admin decides to delete it. Creating a group is simple, and takes just a few minutes. See below for the steps.

PRO Tip: A single email address can be associated with only one group on Count.It. If you would like to join or create multiple groups, you must create accounts with different email addresses.

Download the Count.It app

On the opening screen, tap the Sign Up button

This is where the fun begins.

On the next screens, follow the prompts to create your user account

You need an account on the system to create a group. It takes less than a minute.

On the next screen, scroll to the bottom and tap "Start a Group"

You can safely ignore the prompt to input an invite code. You're creating a NEW group.

On the the "Start a Group" screen, give your group a name

This might be your company, team, or organization name. This is NOT your challenge name. When you create your challenge, you'll get to give that its own name.

Congrats! You're all done. Now you can create your first challenge!
