Troubleshooting Samsung Health --> Android Health Connect
In general, sync'ing is fairly straightforward, but, when there are multiple hops, it can take some patient troubleshooting to figure out where the issue is. If you've connected your Samsung Health to Android Health Connect, but you're not seeing data on Count. It, it may be that the Samsung data is not actually getting into the Health Connect "data store." Here's a quick way to confirm that connection:
How to confirm your activity data is in Android Health Connect
1. Open Health Connect via Settings:
Open the Settings app on your Android phone.
Scroll down and tap Apps.
Browse through the list of apps to find Health Connect.
Tap Health Connect to open the App Info screen.
On the App Info screen, tap the "Open" button at the top to access the Health Connect main screen.
2. Check Activity Data:
On the main Health Connect screen, tap the "Data and access" option.
On the next screen, tap either "Steps" or "Exercise" to view the stored data and the source of that data.
Ensure your Samsung Health step and exercise data is visible. If not, the data isn't syncing properly from Samsung Health to Health Connect.
3. Confirm Data Sharing Permissions:
Samsung Health to Health Connect:
Open the Samsung Health app.
Go to Settings > Data Sharing.
Ensure Health Connect is selected as a data sharing option for step and exercise data.
Health Connect to Count.It:
Open Health Connect and navigate to the "Manage Connections" or "Permissions" section.
Make sure CountIt is listed as an authorized app.
Ensure step and exercise data permissions are enabled for Count. It (allowing data to sync to the app).
