Overview
On Count. It group admins can set goals and add rewards to a challenge either during initial challenge creation, or any time after, via the Edit --> Challenge Info ⚙️ screen. You can add as many rewards as you like covering individuals, teams, or the entire group. You can also remove, or update, your challenge rewards at any time.
To get started for an existing challenge, navigate to the challenge "Info" tab, and tap the edit icon at the top right of the screen. (You must be a group admin to access the edit controls!)
Scroll down on the edit screen, and tap on the Rewards option
On the Rewards Settings screen, you will see any rewards you have created. You can create a new reward by tapping on the "Add Reward" button.
On the next screen, tap the "Eligibility" dropdown to select whether your reward will be for individual challenge participants, teams, or for the group as a whole.
Individual Rewards
For individuals, start by selecting your desired Metric, i.e. Total Points or Consistency. (Note: The Consistency option will only appear for challenges with structured daily or weekly goals.)
Total Points Rewards
When you select Total Points, you will then have the choice of creating one or more rewards based on final rankings, or based on participant progress along the challenge path. Tap the "Criteria" dropdown to make your selection. (You can always create rewards for both!)
Example:
In a 10K steps challenge, you might add a reward for every individual who crosses the finish line, a.k.a. "Finishers: Goal Achieved." That's a reward based on "Final Progress." (Note: For larger groups, one trick is to do a random drawing from among those finishers for one or more rewards.)
In addition to "Finishers," you can create a Final Progress reward for all those who reach a specific stage — so there is something for people who only make it part of the way. (Note: Every challenge path is divided into four quarters, i.e. stages 1-4.)
Then, you might also set up rewards for the individuals logged the most activity, i.e. those whose Final Rank was 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, or perhaps the create a single reward for the "Top 3" or "Top 5" or "Top 10."
Once you select the target goal, you can then add a reward description. Typical rewards can be gift cards, trophies, or even a free lunch. When done, click the blue "Save" button.
Consistency Rewards
Logging lots of points is great, but sometimes the point of a challenge is to hit a daily or weekly target consistently. This is when you will want to create rewards for consistency! Once you choose the Consistency metric, you will see a dropdown listing any structured daily or weekly goals in your challenge. Tap the goal for which you want to create a reward. Not to worry, you can come back later and add rewards for the other goal!
Note that the "Days Completed" or "Weeks Completed" dropdown will auto-populate. Next, tap the "Select Who Wins" dropdown to see set the targeted day or week count for this reward. You can create a reward for those who achieve 100% of the goal, and perhaps you will create another reward for those that got close!
Once you select the target, add a reward description. Typical rewards can be gift cards, trophies, or even a free lunch. When done, click the blue "Save" button.
Team Rewards
Creating team rewards works exactly like creating Individual rewards, however team rewards are currently limited to the Total Points metric. (Teams do not yet appear on the "Consistency" view.)
Just as for individuals, you can create a reward for your teams based on Total Points --> Final Rank or Final Progress.
Once you select your Criteria, simply tap the "Select Who Wins" dropdown to identify your winners, and then add a reward description. If you like, you can create multiple Teams rewards!
Group Goals & Charitable Challenges
If you select the "Group" option, you can set a target for the percentage of challenge participants that cross the finish line in any Total Points challenge. (Note: Group rewards are limited to the Total Points metric.)
For example, setting the group target to 100% means that every challenge participant must cross the finish line to unlock the group prize.
Many groups like to assign a charitable donation "prize" to a group goal. For example, the admin may create a goal-and-reward as follows: "If 75% of us make it to the finish, Acme Corp. will give $500 to charity."
