Migrating from Count. It Classic to Journey

Our legacy platform is shutting down. Here's all you need to know to migrate painlessly.

Updated this week

Count. It Classic will turned 10 years old this January, which, in tech years, is like 100. It has powered challenges for 40,000 companies all over the world, and we have taken all of that practical experience and poured it the new Count.It. It's hard to say goodbye to Classic, but it's time. For groups that are just now making the move, please find the key steps below, plus answers to common questions.

When will Classic be shutdown?
Monday, May 12th, starting at 12PM ET.

Does Journey do everything that Classic did?
Yes, and more.

Is it free?
Count. It Journey is free for challenges with up to 10 people. For larger challenges, groups can upgrade to our Premium plan, which is priced at about ten cents per user per challenge day. To check pricing for your challenge, you can use the Pricing Estimator on the Pricing page.

Will our existing accounts just transfer over?
No. Count. It Journey is a brand new platform, and a fresh start. Group Admins will re-create their Count. It group, and group members will create new accounts. Both processes take less than two minutes. For step-by-step instructions, Admins should check the Group Admins Start Here section of our Help Center to get going.

What do we do if we are actively running a challenge on Classic?
You can easily recreate your challenge on Journey. Group admins, please see: How do I create a challenge? One thing to note: It's not possible to backdate a new challenge. If your Premium challenge will include 50 or more people, please email [email protected] to see if we can help.

What's so great about Journey?
We'll let the engagement stats speak for themselves:

  • 70% of Count. It Journey challenge participants open the app at least once per day

  • A typical challenge participant checks their challenge about 3.25 times per day.

In an industry famous for low engagement (a.k.a. 20% participation) these are great numbers.

Does it work with Slack?
Yes. See the Count. It for Slack section in the Help Center.

Where can I learn more?

TLDR. I need help?
We got you. Please email us at [email protected].
